Tampa Bay Girls Academy is a secure residential treatment program serving up to 55 high- and maximum-risk female youth ages 12 to 21. Operated in partnership with the state of Florida, the program provides intensive services and trauma-informed care for young women with complex mental health, behavioral, and medical needs, including those with co-occurring substance use disorders and borderline intellectual functioning.
Our mission is to empower young women to navigate life’s challenges—regardless of adversity, mistakes, or restarts—equipped with the tools to grow, heal, and thrive.
Each young woman receives an individualized treatment plan developed in collaboration with her multidisciplinary team. Therapists provide evidence-based clinical services including individual, group, and family counseling. Treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Seeking Safety, Aggression Replacement Training (ART), and more. Year-round academic and career readiness programming supports educational progress and future success. Youth also participate in structured extracurricular activities that promote self-discipline, teamwork, leadership, and emotional wellness.
Tampa Bay Girls Academy fosters a supportive, female-responsive environment where every young woman is encouraged to build confidence, resilience, and a strong foundation for the future.
